Based on a preparatory field sketch, Tony develops an exciting studio version, painting the same scene on top of a non-objective under-painting.
Next, taking a different approach, he lets the under-painting take the lead and guide him along, until it develops into a glorious fall scene. Learn the importance of the pattern sketch, how to do an under-painting, how to "listen" to your paper and become more creative with positive, as well as negative shapes.
